can't contact beta server

I'm trying to get phpBNC set up. I've got the script installed, I've got the MySQL database set up, and I've installed ioncube, but whenever I use php main.php I get the following message:

"Cant contact beta server, please make sure you can reach 78.108.54.18 on port 80 tcp."

Pinging this address works just fine, so I'm not sure what the problem is.

running phpBNC beta 0.18

Also, is this the only forum for help with phpBNC? Or perhaps an IRC channel? This place seems rather... dead.

You probably managed to time it with the downtime on my webserver, as phpbnc tries to fetch the latest version information from 78.108.54.18, should work fine now though right? I had like 1 hour downtime or something.
